High quality organic coffee from Peru by BioTropic
As already successfully proven with Milagros bananas, BioTropic GmbH has been importing coffee from a small farming project in Peru since the beginning of 2013.
The coffee beans are processed in a traditional German coffee roasting house and turned into roast coffee and espresso (ground and beans) and appear in BioTropic’s typically eye-catching brand layout.
In Peru the cultivation of coffee has been a tradition for more than 100 years.
Coffee plants grow near to the equator in the Andes. Shaded by numerous deciduous trees, the ripe coffee beans are hand picked and then dried in the sun, before being roasted gently.
These optimum conditions result in a special coffee, with a mild aroma that can be enjoyed any time of day.
BioTropic GmbH has a sustainable, long-term partnership with Pronatur and the Peruvian coffee growers. Only in this way can it ensure that organic coffee beans are obtained transparently and directly from the producer.
This future-proof method is to be rolled out to other products as part of new projects under the BioTropic brand.
