Fruit Logistica 2014
The highlight of the start of the year, the fruit trade fair, Fruit Logistica, in Berlin, now lies behind us, but happily it continues to have an effect. The cost of having our own stand at the trade fair was definitely worth it: we were able to make many new business contacts and refreshed existing ones. This also applies for our BioTropic employees on-site, who came together once again from our global offices and were able to exchange ideas and information face-to-face.
We are looking forward to the next meeting in Berlin!
Below are a few comments on the 2014 Fruit Logistica trade fair:
Sascha Suler | Operations Manager Duisburg, Germany
"We had many good discussions with both existing and new customers, who showed particularly great interest in our projects in the Dominican Republic and the Ivory Coast. Furthermore a striking number of people stopped and took photos of our stand."
Doris Thewes
Dipl.-Ing. Horticulture | Operations Manager Italy
"A lot of good things happened: we maintained relationships, bumped into people we knew once more and also met some others for the first time."
Mauro Finotti | Agricultural engineer | Italy
"A good opportunity to also meet conventional farmers, who are interested in converting to organic cultivation."
Ronald Vianen | Operations Manager Netherlands
"Once more, we made many new customer and supplier contacts. And our stand was perhaps the 'hottest' of the whole trade fair."
Udo Bürk | Projects, Quality Management
"Numerous representatives of associations and organisations, which are involved in development cooperation and business development, came by. All of them were impressed by how transparent, fair and, above all, sustainable our cooperation is 'at the grass-root level'. The whole thing is being achieved by a relatively small company almost on a worldwide scale."
