Apricots and cherries from the fruit garden of Italy

Apricots, peaches, nectarines and cherries – BioTropic is getting its first European stone fruits from its producers in Italy. Due to the geographic location of Sicily, the fruits are generally ready to harvest 2 to 3 weeks earlier than in other regions located further north. The Italian stone fruit season generally runs from the end of April into September.

New value for old clothes at Ivoire Organics

Sea containers leave our registered office in Duisburg for “Ivoire Organics” in Côte d’Ivoire at least once per year. There are many different things in the containers, but mainly agricultural machines and other materials for the producer organisation, which are not available in the local area or can only be sourced with a great deal of effort. However, there is still room for clothes in the gaps between the strategically filled container contents.

Delicious tomatoes from the Italian cooperative Alba Bio

Tomatoes here, tomatoes there, tomatoes wherever you look. They hang down in bunches and remind you of an imaginary place of extreme luxury. The red fruits, which grow in the greenhouses of the producer organisation Alba Bio, quite literally invite you to bite into them. Our employee Ivana Giannico and Mauro Finotti from the Italian BioTropic office were impressed by the flavour of the fruits on their visit.
