The first thing you see when you enter the Eco Centre is the lake and lots and lots of greenery. Filled with freshwater, the lake has been affectionately called ‘The Lagoon’ by employees. It did not occur naturally, however, but was created as part of a develoPPP.de project between 2012 and 2014. All the other buildings and areas, which make up the nearly 5 hectares of the Cibao Ecopark, also came about at this time.

(German Association of Organic Processors, Wholesalers and Retailers) is dedicating itself to the theme of ecological cultivation. During this themed week, the association will present the work of many growers on Facebook and Twitter as well as to select media representatives.

The season for Chilean kiwis has begun: we will receive our first kiwis from the South American country in the middle of this month. They have been grown on Ignacio Lopez Olaldes’ finca “San Roque Farms”. His finca is located in the fruitful ‘Región del Bío-Bío’ at the heart of Chile. The favourable climatic conditions there guarantee not only delicious kiwi fruits, but also that the area is regarded as the biggest wine-growing region in the country.
